In Your Hands Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves the homeless and needy people of the greater Little Rock, Arkansas area. Working in the facilities of the Full Gospel Temple, 3905 Highway 161 North, North Little Rock, Arkansas, the ministry is a faith based activity that has been providing hot meals and personal clothing and hygiene items since 2002.
Ministry to the Homeless
The meals are furnished on the second Sunday of each month, which includes a breakfast, after which participants are invited to attend a church service and then a noon meal. Transportation is provided by driving into certain areas of the city that morning to pickup the homeless and returning them during the afternoon. There were 274 meals provided to homeless individuals in 2017 which averaged 23 meals fed each day. There have been approximately 25,599 homeless people served during nearly 16 years of ministry . This activity is supported by the funds and subsistence donated to the ministry.
The Food Pantry
In Your Hands Ministries, also provides food items to needy people on each Tuesday morning. The Food Pantry operates out of the storage/kitchen area of the church facility and is supported by donations from the Arkansas Food Bank and various stores and businesses. We are also a member of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. We supplied food to 4,940 families, representing 15,161 individuals, including 6,896 children during 2017. We have assisted a total of 106,117 people from our pantry since we began in 2008. We also experience the spiritual needs of those that we serve in this area. Many request prayer and consolation as we provide the food for them. The need for donations is growing each month.
Pastor Mullen, has a long term vision of one day having a ?Transitional Living? facility to accommodate rehabilitation and restoration for the homeless. We are asking for God?s guidance as we seek a facility and financial means to achieve this goal. Currently, we offer encouragement and spiritual helps thru the morning church service for all that attend, and most of the homeless people do attend. In fact, over 1,429 have made a confession of faith, unto Salvation, in the fifteen years of ministry.
We welcome all gifts whether financial or food (can goods, non-perishable food items, meats of all kinds). Clothing and hygiene items are needed as well.
